Lead Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer in EDP Platform Services as part of Consumer Technology. In this role, you will lead complex, broad-impact initiatives including the provision of high-level systems consultation for technology teams. You will participate in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for the Systems Operations functional area.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems.
• Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements.
• Consult with the engineering team on change design, requiring a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives.
• Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid- to senior-level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• 3+ years of SRE practice experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Observability (logging, monitoring, and event detection) on cloud or distributed platforms (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Kafka, Airflow, Logstash, Grafana, Elastic APM, Jaeger, Zipkin for Distributed Tracing).
• 2+ years of Hosting Platforms experience (AWS, OCP, Kubernetes, PKS, Azure, VMware, Unix, Linux, Windows).

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• 3+ years of DevOps experience (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, GIT, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Kubernetes, Terraform, UDeploy).
• 5+ years of experience with Agile methodology.
• 1+ year of IT Service Management experience (AIOPS, ServiceNow, Remedy, Big Panda, Netcool).

Pay

$119,000.00 - $224,000.00 base pay range. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
