About the role

LightFeather is seeking a ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on supporting federal clients with modern web technologies. This position offers the opportunity to build custom, high-code solutions that enhance user experiences and system integration across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about ServiceNow, eager to grow their technical capabilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing setting.

U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and the need to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and as a technical team member
  • Work in multiple instances and domains, supporting internal and external customers
  • Utilize an Agile/Scrum methodology to manage development work
  • Advise functional and admin teams on design, development and overall ServiceNow best practices
  • Collaborate with business, systems, and Technology partners in business analysis meetings to develop business and systems requirements
  • Solution and develop requested enhancements to existing ServiceNow applications
  • Script Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc.
  • Facilitate and support the rollout of new application and enhancements in ServiceNow
  • Analyze system performance issues and determine performance enhancements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer
  • Strong familiarity and working knowledge of ServiceNow Suite of tools (Service Catalog, Service Portal, Reports, Incident and Knowledge Base, etc.)
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate and listen well with business and technical people, regardless of title, with good self-awareness
  • Proven developer independent of the ServiceNow platform, with an emphasis on analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated competency with IT Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management, ITIL/ITSM, PMP/PRINCE2 practices
  • Experience working on project teams that leverage Agile/Scrum
  • Experience with system/software engineering lifecycle principles, translating requirements into functional and technical solutions, application implementation and support, enterprise monitoring
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing data analysis/modeling to help facilitate and inform management decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer)

Pay

$120,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience level.

Schedule

Full-time, fully remote (EST hours).
