Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily activities of scheduling staff.
- Maintains accurate records and schedules appointments.
- Monitors work of assigned staff and acts as a professional resource.
- Acts as a professional liaison for staff, other hospitals, personnel, and physician offices.
Requirements
- Two (2) years clerical experience, with 6 months of supervisory experience, or 3 years of clerical clinical experience.
- Previous experience in admission or scheduling environment in a hospital/medical office environment.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to type forty (40) words per minute.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the utilization of computer applications.
- Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR certification.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
