Lead Safety Manager | Houston, TX

About the role

Support specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety. Oversee all aspects of the commercial construction project within the pharmaceutical facility ensuring OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
• Perform daily safety audits and inspections
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
• Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP)

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years direct construction safety experience required, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing safety teams
• Experience supporting large capital projects within pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology environments
• OSHA 500 certification is a plus
• Active BCSP certification is highly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards and pharmaceutical safety protocols
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coach and mentor in all facets of the construction safety process
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
