Lead SACT Nurse (Royal Tunbridge Wells)

About the role

Join the founding leadership team at GenesisCare UK’s brand-new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) centre in Royal Tunbridge Wells, opening Autumn 2026. This purpose-built centre will deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapies, bringing advanced cancer treatment closer to patients across West Kent and the South East. As Lead SACT Nurse, you will shape a new service from day one, providing expert clinical leadership and overseeing the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership and oversight of SACT services
• Ensure all systemic therapies are delivered in line with UKONS guidance, evidence-based practice, and GenesisCare policies
• Maintain advanced competence in SACT administration and toxicity management
• Lead governance processes including audits, incident management, and risk assessments
• Support workforce planning to ensure safe staffing levels and appropriate skill mix
• Promote a collaborative, compassionate, and high-performing team culture
• Work closely with consultants, pharmacists, and operational teams to streamline patient pathways
• Contribute to service development, business planning, and the introduction of new therapies
• Uphold high standards in medicines management, infection prevention, and safe handling of cytotoxic drugs

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
• Current UKONS SACT Passport
• Minimum 5 years’ post-registration oncology/haematology experience
• Minimum 3 years’ senior clinical leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of governance, audit, and risk management
• Post-registration qualification in Oncology and/or Haematology
• Advanced Life Support (or willingness to work towards)
