About the role

The Lead Respiratory Therapist at AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque plays a crucial role in delivering safe, competent pulmonary care to patients under the direction of the physician. This position requires a strong background in respiratory therapy, active licensing, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, competent pulmonary care to patients under the direction of the physician.
• Ensures the department has adequate numbers of staff to care for the patient population through provision of departmental staffing schedules.
• Affirms appropriate and adequate supplies and equipment to care for the patient population.
• Works as an engaged, active member of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Participates in night and weekend shifts for additional compensation.

Requirements

• Active Licensed Respiratory Therapist in good standing, in state of employment.
• Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential per state requirements.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of related work experience.
• Completes all mandatory education.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications
