Lead Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Lead CRT/RRT Respiratory Therapist for our hospital to ensure high quality, efficient care for all patients. As a Lead Therapist, you will evaluate respiratory needs and develop/implement Respiratory Care Plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
- Maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given
- Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages
Requirements
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist; critical care and intubation experience preferred
- Clear/active Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months of hire

About the Hospital
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380+ bed facility located in Bradenton, FL. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. Services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
