Allied Reliability is searching for a highly motivated and technically strong Reliability Engineer to support a Water Purification plant in Minnetonka, MN. This role addresses the ever-increasing need for clean water in a growing industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage planning, scheduling, MRO, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) personnel for the site.
- Drive and conduct Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis across the plant.
- Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies within Veolia's corporate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Define, track, and report on plant reliability KPIs: Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Planned Maintenance Percentage (PMP).
- Monitor and track key equipment reliability strategies, including condition monitoring, equipment mapping, non-destructive testing (NDT), and visual inspections.
- Lead the implementation of predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, thermography, PdMA, oil analysis, corrosion detection, and dissolved gas analysis.
- Perform and document equipment criticality analysis to support an effective critical spares strategy.
- Lead technical incident investigations through Root Cause Analysis (e.g., Cause Mapping, Fault Tree Diagram, 5 Whys, Cost-Benefit Analysis) and implement recommended solutions.
- Analyze data to identify reliability trends, forecast risks, and drive improvements in equipment uptime, cost, and safety.
- Support the establishment of maintenance job plans, including shutdowns and outages.
- Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment and production issues across multiple production lines, collaborating with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Develop, write, and review new process documentation.
- Champion and lead the plant’s shift toward digitization, owning the implementation of digital reliability tools and technologies.
- Lead capital projects aimed at enhancing reliability.
- Develop and implement a lubrication program and hydraulics improvement plan.
- Support the development of the Asset Register and Hierarchies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience as a Reliability Engineer, Operations Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer.
- Computer literate with MS Office, Google, and similar software.
- Strong communication, interpretation, and active listening skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
- Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes) as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Reliability Engineer, Operations Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification (e.g., MMP, CRE).
- Working knowledge of CMMS and data analytics.
- Highly motivated, dynamic, and self-disciplined with strong technical competence and excellent interpersonal skills; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
