About the role

The Lead Registered Nurse (RN) position at Terros Health's Priest Drive Recovery Health Center in Tempe, AZ, is seeking an experienced RN to join our dedicated team. As part of the site management team, the Lead RN will oversee integrated care services, assist the Director of Nursing, and provide administrative and clinical supervision to medical assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with site operational and clinical leaders to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicates and coordinates changes in workflow or services to medical assistants and providers.
  • Serves as a member of the site management team, collaborating with leadership to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • Helps the Director of Nursing to ensure effective coordination and communication with the site nursing staff.
  • Records potential barriers to quality nursing care and collaborates with the Medical Director to find solutions.
  • Ensures initial and ongoing competencies for medical assistants and nurses.
  • Manages training records for medical assistants.
  • Collaborates with other Lead RNs to implement trainings and competencies.
  • Clinically supervises all RNs and contract RNs working at the site, participating in performance reviews.
  • Addresses clinical and administrative performance, providing clinical consultation and support, participating in peer reviews, grand rounds, monitoring activities, and corrective action plans.
  • Recruits, orientates, mentors, and retains nursing staff.
  • Screens and monitors patients for medical problems and side effects.
  • Promotes and models recovery model practice, including motivational interviewing, and ensures all nursing staff assist patients in defining and achieving their recovery goals.
  • Coordinates care with the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team and other providers to ensure member needs are met and the member continues to receive treatment in the community.
  • Works with informal support systems to provide clinical skills training.

Requirements

A current Arizona RN license is required. SMI experience is preferred, but not required. Competitive compensation ranging from $86,000 to $93,000 annually based on years of experience and education. Additional language differential pay is available for Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili, or ASL, adding approximately $4,160 annually.
