Lead Registered Dietitian
Responsibilities
- Assess the nutritional needs of residents and develop individualized meal plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
- Monitor and document residents' nutritional status and progress.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff.
- Assists Director of Clinical Operations with recruiting, training, and scheduling of Registered Dietitians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve residents' overall health and well-being.
- Provide coverage in multiple buildings based on company needs.
Qualifications
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in Nutrition/Dietetics as required by the applicable state.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in dietary services in a long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in dietary services.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
- Must be able to read and interpret dining service cost reports, financial data, etc.
