Lead Radiology Tech

About the role

CentraState Healthcare System is seeking a Lead Radiology Technologist to support its Radiology Department. This role performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, and other imaging procedures under the direction of a radiologist. The Lead Tech coordinates the day-to-day operations of the X-ray section and mentors and trains students in a collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for examination.
• Takes images for diagnostic radiologic examinations according to established procedure.
• Scaans required documents and transmits to the radiologist.
• Participates in the department's Quality Assurance Program.
• Participates in the hiring, orientation, training and supervision of respective Diagnostic Imaging section staff.
• Prepares the schedule for the x-ray section.
• Inventories and orders supplies for respective Diagnostic Imaging section as necessary while negotiating contracts and pricing with various vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal radiologic technology training at an AMA school.
• A minimum of five years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist required.
• NJ State License required.
• ARRT Certification required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
