About the role
Lead Radiation Therapist, Full-Time, at John B. Amos Cancer Center, Piedmont Columbus.
Responsibilities
- Performing tumor localizations and administering ionizing radiation for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as prescribed by the supervising physician.
- Serving as mentor for newly hired and staff therapist, coordinating completion of weekly chart checks and organization of supplies and immobilization devices.
- Maintaining patient treatment schedule.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Assisting in the implementation of new technology.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an ARRT-accredited radiation therapy program.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a radiation therapist required.
- ASRT - Radiation Therapist registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation certification upon hire.
