About the Role
Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced systems for DER (Distributed Energy Resources) and power distribution applications. Develop technological roadmaps, benchmark technologies, and ensure components meet size, efficiency, performance, and cost standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design, power electronics, thermal management, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Characterize, benchmark, and define requirements for components and prototypes.
- Lead evaluation of new technologies, establish performance targets, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Support verification and validation processes for energy storage systems and prototypes.
- Maintain documentation and collaborate on system and component design.
- Support power electronics and thermal system development, ensuring product performance and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical); advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in system design, energy technologies, microgrid, power generation, or energy storage.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, modeling, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink.
- Familiarity with grid integration and energy management systems is a plus.
