Lead Quality Engineer

Job Title: Lead Quality Engineer Location: Beltsville, Maryland (On-Site) Job Summary: We are supporting a search for a Lead Quality Engineer who will help drive product and process quality across assigned value streams, products, customers, or suppliers. This role plays a key part in strengthening quality systems, preventing defects, improving customer satisfaction, and supporting operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead quality planning, risk mitigation, and technical guidance for cross-functional teams and Quality Engineers.Support compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, and industry standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and internal procedures.Deploy APQP methodologies and support PPAP submissions, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection methods, validation activities, and launch readiness requirements.Drive investigations of customer complaints, escapes, and returns through containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and structured problem-solving methods. Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, supplier quality, or related technical roles.Experience working within a regulated quality management system environment.Experience with aerospace manufacturing, AS9100 and/or ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification, program management tools, and advanced problem-solving methodologies is preferred.
