Lead Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)

About the role

The Lead QMHP-A is a team leader who guides the day-to-day operations in our Mental Health Supervised Living Programs and provides direct support to individuals who reside in those programs. The role ensures overall service delivery and monitoring of person-centered plans in collaboration with individuals supported and staff. The Lead QMHP-A is responsible for training, mentoring and oversight of staff to ensure quality services and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Guides the day-to-day operations in Mental Health Supervised Living Programs.
• Provides direct support to individuals who reside in those programs.
• Maintains and monitors person-centered plans in collaboration with individuals supported and staff.
• Trains, mentors, and oversees staff to ensure quality services and continuity of care.
• Communicates and articulates the organization's mission and philosophy to all members of their particular program or service.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services field with at least three (3) years of experience working with individuals with mental illness diagnoses. Certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult with The Board of Counseling in Virginia.
• Strong organizational skills, administrative skills, and time management.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy and data processing skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance.
• Ability to work as part of a comprehensive service delivery team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possesses Master’s Degree in the Human Services Field.
• Licensed Mental Health Professional – Eligible.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
