Lead Qualification Representative – Biosciences Division
About the Role
The Lead Qualification Representative (LQR) plays a critical role in connecting marketing initiatives with sales execution across the Biosciences Division (BID). As a member of the North America commercial team, you will engage prospective and existing customers generated through marketing campaigns and data-driven initiatives, qualify opportunities, and help accelerate pipeline growth. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on marketing-generated and data-driven leads across the Biosciences Division to engage customers and qualify sales opportunities.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer research goals, purchasing needs, and project timelines.
- Qualify and manage opportunities, determining the appropriate path for each lead, including progressing opportunities independently or collaborating with Business Account Managers (BAMs) and Technical Sales Specialists (TSSs).
- Generate quotations and close smaller transactional opportunities while supporting overall commercial growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer records, activities, and opportunity information within Salesforce.com and other commercial systems.
- Utilize digital engagement platforms such as Groove, Seismic, and other internal tools to efficiently manage customer outreach and communications.
- Analyze campaign performance, customer feedback, and lead outcomes to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to Marketing for continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Technical Sales Specialists, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Deliver timely responses to customer inquiries while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service excellence.
- Contribute to team goals focused on pipeline generation, lead conversion, and commercial excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline is required. Equivalent laboratory or industry experience may be considered.
Experience
- 1+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, lead qualification, sales support, or related commercial roles.
- Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience with digital engagement tools, sales enablement platforms, or marketing automation technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of life sciences research workflows, genomics, molecular biology, cell biology, or related scientific disciplines is preferred.

- Comfortable working across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Technical Sales, and Customer Service.
- General understanding of the sales process, lead qualification, and opportunity management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
- Experience with Groove, Seismic, or similar digital engagement platforms is advantageous but not required.
Schedule
Standard (Mon-Fri), with minimal travel (up to 5%) required.
Pay
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $66,000.00–$85,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
