Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor site personnel, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to safety standards.
- Serve as the site representative to all employees, visitors, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety analyses and ensure proper use of PPE, and lead emergency response efforts.
- Perform and oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PV systems, inverters, battery storage, substations, and balance-of-plant equipment.
- Support commissioning, testing, installations, and performance optimization of solar and storage systems.
Qualifications
- Required Skills and Competencies:
- 2–4 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or a related electrical/mechanical field, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Experience with high-voltage electrical equipment and mechanical systems, including knowledge of electrical theory, power electronics, substation equipment, and control systems.
- Proficient with hand and power tools, electrical test equipment, and capable of reading schematics, one-line, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and operational software systems.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, night shifts, and rotating schedules as needed.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
Pay & Benefits
- Base Pay: $42-$48/hour (based on experience, education, and skillset).
- On-call pay.
- 5% Annual Performance Bonus (based on individual performance and company metrics).
- 5% Availability Bonus.
