About the role

Fisica Space Vector is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and strategically minded Lead Program Manager to lead programs within our product development portfolio. As a key member of the Space Vector program management team, you will drive the strategic capture of new business within the Aerospace, Defense, and National Security sectors through execution excellence and early product development deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic capture of new business within the Aerospace, Defense, and National Security sectors through execution excellence and early product development deliveries.
  • Transition seamlessly between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Be primarily responsible for the successful execution of products in the development and qualification phase of the product life cycle.
  • Build customer relationships, identify and qualify multi-million dollar pipelines, and lead, support or collaborate in support of major capture and proposal efforts to align with national security and Allied requirements.
  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Drive program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
  • Expand the product line with the customer.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Business Administration, or a related technical/business discipline is required.
    • An MBA or advanced technical degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 9+ years of progressive experience in program management within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
    • Minimum of 7+ years prior experience with graduate degree.
    • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
    • Proven track record of successfully executing $10M+ programs with DoD and aerospace prime contractors.
    • Able to travel up to 15%.
  • Security & Compliance Requirements:
    • The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role.
    • Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.
    • Required due to the nature of our government contracts and handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR-controlled technical data (no exceptions).
    • Dual citizenship may not be accepted.
