Lead Professional, Environmental Science
About the role
This Opportunity WSP USA, Inc is seeking an experienced environmental professional with a strong professional network, technical skills and a proven history of successfully completing sales in a seller/doer capacity. This individual will interface with both internal and external clients; be dynamic, creative, quality driven, have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; and be a proactive problem solver.
Responsibilities
- Developing existing and new clients via a strong business development acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and organizational abilities.
- Managing several projects simultaneously.
- Directing support staff and technical professionals on project specific tasks.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Senior Technical Reviewer within the area of expertise (e.g. ability to read, comprehend, and prepare construction drawings and technical specifications).
- Preparing project permitting documents for local, state and federal permits.
- Interacting with coworkers, clients, and prospective clients while conducting work in a professional and ethical manner.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and promoting company safety culture.
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours if/as required.
- Able and willing to travel to meet clients and see project sites.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, geology or related field.
- Professional licensure or certification.
- 10+ years’ environmental consulting experience including project management and sales.
Qualifications
- A thorough understanding of current state and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, CERCLA…).
- The ability to forecast and advise on regulatory trends is a must.

- Strong dedication to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting company safety culture.
- Ability and willingness to travel to meet clients and see project sites.

Pay
Expected Salary (all locations): $102,200 - $151,800
