About the role

The Lead Product Manager will enhance features and products that optimize the consumer experience. This role is responsible for the strategy, planning, delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of new and existing products and capabilities. It requires a proven leader with the energy and skills to envision the right customer experience, drive execution, and scale features to seize business opportunities and support rapid growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product and plan the product roadmap.
  • Create and define the long-term vision and strategy for products and features for a diverse set of customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Work with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact product features using agile methodology (30%).
  • Lead feedback gathering, metric definition, and analysis to validate assumptions, inform roadmap priority, and monitor product success (25%).
  • Manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously while maintaining the product roadmap and backlog (20%).
  • Understand key financial measures and synthesize financial metrics around product concepts (15%).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, information technology, or related areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, information technology, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit card and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) capabilities, including digital acquisition, prequalification, instant credit, servicing, fraud, rewards, and partner-facing integrations through APIs and SDKs.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex product capabilities to clients, brands, and business stakeholders, influence decisions, and drive buy-in and adoption.

Work Environment

  • Normal office environment.
  • Remote or hybrid; 3 to 4 days per month required in-office if within 60 miles of a posted Bread Financial location.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% annually.

  • Perform stationary tasks while seated.
  • Type and write as required.
  • Maintain focus in high-pressure or fast-paced environments.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $120,500.00 – $218,300.00. Actual base pay may depend on factors such as work location, education, experience, and skills. Specific ranges for certain states are as follows:

  • California: $138,600.00 – $272,900.00
  • Colorado: $120,500.00 – $229,200.00
  • New York: $132,500.00 – $272,900.00
  • Washington: $126,500.00 – $251,100.00
  • Maryland: $126,500.00 – $240,200.00
  • Washington DC: $138,600.00 – $251,100.00
  • Illinois: $120,500.00 – $240,200.00
  • New Jersey: $138,600.00 – $251,100.00
  • Vermont: $120,500.00 – $218,300.00
  • Ohio: $120,500.00 – $218,300.00
  • Maine: $120,500.00 – $218,300.00
  • Connecticut: $132,500.00 – $240,200.00
  • Virginia: $120,500.00 – $218,300.00

You must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without needing sponsorship now or in the future.
