About the role

We're seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our Facility Tech Team. This role focuses on optimizing how food moves through our facilities, empowering kitchen partners to scale, and leveraging AI to enhance our offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Design software and workflows to manage the flow of thousands of orders daily, improving how food moves through our facilities.
  • Create kitchen display systems and order management tools to help restaurants increase throughput while maintaining quality.
  • Build tools to support restaurant partners throughout their lifecycle in our facilities, including onboarding, facility access, rent management, storage, maintenance requests, and operational support.
  • Explore, design, and implement AI-powered solutions for both customers and internal tools for our design team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operations to iteratively plan, build, test, and launch products that solve real user problems and push the business forward.
  • Participate in design critiques and cross-functional reviews to refine ideas, gather rapid feedback, and iterate on high-impact solutions.
  • Conduct discovery research to surface user insights that influence your team's strategy and prioritize usability by testing your designs with real users.
  • Contribute to and improve core patterns that support consistency across our products.

Requirements

  • A passion for food and helping restaurateurs succeed.
  • 3+ years of experience in product or UX design.
  • Strong full-stack design skills, including interaction design, visual design, and system thinking.
  • A proven track record of building products from the ground up and working effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Familiarity with designing complex data-driven applications like dashboards, maps, and analytics.
  • Familiarity with designing mobile apps.
  • An impact-driven mindset that prioritizes delivering value to customers as fast as possible.
  • An ability to be a strategic partner by helping to understand the competitive environment and shape a vision for how our products will fit in the market.
  • A team player who is a proactive communicator, has no ego, and loves to collaborate with others.
  • Able to combine data with instinct to build the right thing and meet business objectives.

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $170,000 - $215,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life and disability insurance, health savings account (HSA), flexible spending accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care, Commuter), discretionary vacation days, 8 paid holidays per year, paid sick time, paid bereavement leave, and paid parental leave. Additional benefits may be available.
