Lead Product Designer - Facility Tech

About the role

We're seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our Facility Tech Team. Your responsibilities include optimizing how food moves through our facilities, empowering kitchen partners to scale, and leveraging AI to supercharge our design and support efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design software and workflows to manage the flow of thousands of orders each day.
• Create kitchen display systems and order management tools to enhance kitchen efficiency.
• Develop tools to support restaurant partners throughout their lifecycle in our facilities.
• Explore, design, and implement AI-powered solutions for customers and internal tools for our design team.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and operations to iteratively plan, build, test, and launch products.
• Participate in design critiques and cross-functional reviews to refine ideas and gather feedback.
• Contribute to and improve core patterns that support consistency across our products.

Requirements

• A passion for food and helping restaurateurs succeed.
• 3+ years of experience in product or UX design.
• Strong full-stack design skills, including interaction design, visual design, and system thinking.
• A proven track record of building products from the ground up and working effectively with cross-functional partners.
• Familiarity with designing complex data-driven applications like dashboards, maps, and analytics.
• Familiarity with designing mobile apps.
• An impact-driven mindset that prioritizes delivering value to customers as fast as possible.
• An ability to be a strategic partner by helping to understand the competitive environment and shape a vision for how our products will fit in the market.
• A team player who is a proactive communicator, has no ego, and loves to collaborate with others.
• Able to combine data with instinct to build the right thing and meet business objectives.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $182,000 - $230,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is based in our West Coast (San Francisco or Mountain View) office. Atoms is an office-based company, with all teams working onsite, five days a week.
