About the role
As a Lead Procurement Engineer you will provide execution leadership for complex procurement scopes while delivering day-to-day oversight of a small team. This role is accountable for predictable supplier delivery across cost, schedule, quality, and technical requirements. Operating under Manager guidance, the Lead coordinates team execution, drives prioritization, and ensures alignment to program delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day leadership and oversight to a team
- Makes execution-level decisions with Manager guidance
- Led complex scopes with moderate autonomy
- Acts as a bridge between individual contributors and leadership
- Drives consistency and execution discipline across team activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Nuclear preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, engineering, or project execution within a regulated/industrial environment
- Advanced understanding of nuclear procurement requirements, quality standards, and supplier manufacturing processes
- Strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and cost analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, global supply chains with high execution risk
- Strong leadership and influencing skills across cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Ability to operate independently and prioritize across multiple high-impact activities
- Familiarity with SAP, PowerBI, Sharepoint
- Highly proficient in MS Office applications/tools
- Ability to travel up to 20%
