About the role
This position will require 30-40% travel and involves researching, analyzing, and recommending improvements to business processes that improve distribution center performance.
Responsibilities
- Drives the implementation and adoption of process innovations across the distribution network, including documenting and standardizing operating procedures and distribution processes.
- Develops and maintains labor standards, labor management system configuration, and distribution center reporting.
- Performs “test and learns” to create processes that increase customer value, reduce costs, and increase building capacity.
- Determines the root cause of performance defects through data analysis, data decomposition, and process observation.
- Collaborates with business partners across functional areas in support of supply chain initiatives.
- Performs data collection and analyses for process mapping, budget development, and cost to determine project feasibility.
- Develops project plans, communicates business process changes, and manages project priorities to meet schedules and budgets.
- Ensures process controls are defined, implemented, and monitored to sustain results.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in a related field with strong supply chain process engineering experience
- Proficiency with SAP WMS and advanced Excel skills to analyze data and optimize warehouse processes
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives within warehouse, logistics, and distribution environments
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated success managing complex improvement projects and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to identify operational inefficiencies, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions
Qualifications
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline and 8+ years of experience in a related field, or MS/MA and 5+ years of experience in a related field.
Work Environment
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area, with some exposure to mild physical discomfort and regular overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $121,700.00-$185,800.00 Annual.
