About the role
Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as a Senior Principal Product Manager for Robotics, Perception, and Embodied AI to define and drive the product strategy for intelligent systems that perceive, reason about, and act in the physical world. This is a senior individual-contributor role for a technically deep product leader who can operate from executive strategy to detailed product requirements. You will own a business-critical product area spanning robotics, perception, embodied AI, simulation, edge and cloud infrastructure, and fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- Define the multi-year vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for robotics, perception, and embodied AI.
- Build deep relationships with strategic customers, understand their business and technical objectives, and translate those needs into repeatable product capabilities.
- Serve as the product counterpart to Applied Science and Engineering, defining target use cases, requirements, evaluation metrics, operating constraints, and production-readiness criteria.
- Own product areas such as multimodal perception, sensor fusion, spatial understanding, robot learning, navigation, manipulation, simulation, human-robot interaction, and fleet intelligence.
- Prioritize across research, platform capabilities, customer commitments, technical debt, and commercialization opportunities.
- Define success measures including task completion, intervention rate, safety, latency, reliability, generalization, deployment time, utilization, and cost per task.
- Drive the full product lifecycle from discovery and prototype through beta, launch, scaled deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Identify and mitigate risks across AI models, robotics software, hardware, cloud infrastructure, security, safety, and operations.
- Develop pricing, packaging, adoption, and business cases in partnership with Finance and go-to-market teams.
- Lead launches, customer enablement, product positioning, technical collateral, demonstrations, and executive presentations.
- Influence across teams without formal authority and mentor other product managers.
- Manage and provide direction on timelines, deliverables, and budgets for critical high-impact projects.
- Anticipate and plan for shifts in resources or timelines based on changing business priorities.
- Influence cross-functional leaders and external stakeholders to gain alignment on strategic objectives.
- Foster partnerships with key business leaders, stakeholders, and customers to expand opportunities.
- Champion transparency and inclusivity by actively seeking, listening to, and incorporating diverse perspectives.
- Lead specialized, advanced problem-solving efforts and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Guide teams to leverage innovative data-driven techniques for addressing ambiguous or novel issues.
- Leverage deep industry knowledge to serve as a thought leader within the organization.
- Contribute to the advancement of the field through thought leadership (e.g., conference presentations, white papers, research).
- Maintain and evolve expertise in relevant areas by monitoring emerging trends and technologies.
- Champion continuous learning and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Develop innovative solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of processes and workflows.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of updated approaches and design metrics to measure success.
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding talent needs and organizational talent strategy.
- Impart leadership and expert knowledge throughout the talent development pipeline.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of product management experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex AI, robotics, autonomy, cloud, edge, or distributed-systems products.
- Experience partnering with scientists and engineers to productize probabilistic or nondeterministic systems.
- Strong knowledge of several robotics domains, such as perception, localization, planning, control, manipulation, simulation, or embodied foundation models.
- Experience defining product metrics, technical requirements, business cases, and production-readiness standards.
- Proven ability to lead exceptionally complex, cross-organizational initiatives independently.
- Strong customer, analytical, written, and executive-presentation skills.
- Travel on an as-needed basis.

Pay
Hiring range in USD from: $119,200 - $264,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
