Lead Pizza Maker

Responsibilities

• Preparing high-quality pizzas according to Tree House standardized protocols
• Overseeing the quality of Tree House pizza SOP, adjusting as necessary to maintain consistency
• Evaluating and providing feedback on the performance of Pizza Prep Cooks and Pizza Makers
• Maintaining all food order slips and ensuring timely completion of customer orders
• Maintaining work areas and kitchen cleanliness
• Communicating with retail management and staff about menu changes
• Maintaining awareness of ingredients that may require communication to customers regarding potential food allergies
• Monitoring inventory and notifying management of low stock levels
• Monitoring pizza oven temperatures and cooking times
• Ensuring pizzas meet Tree House standards in terms of taste, quality, and presentation
• Delegating tasks to Pizza staff, from food preparation to stocking and cleaning
• Setting the standard for communication and teamwork within the Pizza team and with Retail and Leadership teams

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Pizza Maker in a professional setting required
• Ability to commit to working at least two closing shifts per week and two of the three weekend days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• A food handler’s license is preferred
• Hands-on experience with preparing pizza doughs
• Familiarity with professional brick or stone ovens
• Proven food preparation and food handling experience, including manual dexterity in operating cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• Working knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• The ability to follow standardized recipes
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work in a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
