About the role

We are seeking a driven and hardworking individual to join our team at Tree House in Tewksbury, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, baking, and executing pizzas according to our standards. This role is part-time and offers a starting base rate of $21-23/hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality pizzas according to Tree House standardized protocols
• Maintain the temperature of the pizza ovens and monitor cooking times
• Ensure consistency and quality of pizzas, focusing on taste and presentation
• Manage food order slips and complete orders promptly
• Communicate with retail management and staff about menu changes
• Be aware of ingredients that may cause food allergies and inform customers accordingly
• Monitor and report on inventory levels
• Keep work areas and kitchen clean and sanitized
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a Pizza Maker preferred
• Culinary experience in a professional setting preferred
• A food handler's license preferred
• Hands-on experience with pizza dough preparation
• Familiarity with professional brick or stone ovens
• Proven food preparation and handling experience, including manual dexterity in using cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• Ability to stand for the majority of the shift, push, pull, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• The ability to follow standardized recipes
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to work collaboratively with other departments and colleagues
• Exceptional customer service skills
