DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day unique to each team or employee).

About the Role

The Enterprise Test Engineering ("ETE") family ensures all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. The ETE family encompasses three major areas: (a) functional testing, (b) non-functional testing, and (c) test architecture and enablement. Key focuses include regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing.

The Performance Test Engineering role validates non-functional requirements for performance testing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a proven grasp of the DTCC Software Delivery process, Performance Test Engineering framework, CoE (Center of Excellence) Engagement process, and tech-stack (tools and technologies) for day-to-day tasks
  • Prepare, maintain, and implement performance/resiliency test scenarios based on non-functional requirements, following standard DTCC testing guidelines
  • Automate performance test scenarios using current automated functional and performance test scripts in compliance with the non-functional framework
  • Maintain traceability across Non-Functional Requirements, Performance Test Scenarios, and Defects
  • Review performance and resiliency test scenarios from both technical and business perspectives with collaborators, such as development teams and business stakeholders
  • Track defects to closure, report test results, continuously supervise execution achievements, and escalate as required
  • Contribute to the technical aspects of Delivery Pipeline adoption for performance testing and improve its adoption
  • Identify environmental and data requirements; collaborate with Development and Testing teams to manage and maintain environment and data
  • Provide mentorship to team members on performance/resiliency test coverage, scenarios, and non-functional requirements
  • Develop a basic understanding of the product being delivered, including architecture considerations and technical design related to performance, resiliency, and scalability
  • Work with Development and Architecture teams to find opportunities to improve test coverage and suggest performance improvements
  • Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; raise concerns appropriately

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in load testing tools, such as JMeter, LoadRunner
  • Experience with Snowflake tasks, warehouse, components, and optimization
  • Experience with AWS services (Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementations, including testing, using Jenkins or similar tools
  • Expertise in performance analysis of distributed platforms including Linux, Windows, AWS, Containers, and VMware (tools: Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, TeamQuest)
  • Extensive knowledge of the functionality and performance aspects of computing platforms
  • Experience working in Unix or Linux environments
  • Sophisticated statistical and analytical modeling skills, including:
    • Data exploration, analysis, and presentation using descriptive statistics and graphical techniques
    • Time series analysis and forecasting
    • Key Performance and volume metrics relationship modeling
    • Understanding of queuing networks modeling and simulation modeling concepts; experience with industry-standard tools (TeamQuest, Metron-Athenee, HyPerformix, BMC)
  • Experience in scripting (Perl, Unix shell, Python, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins)
  • Experience using JMS/IBM-MQ messaging systems
  • Understanding of RESTful web services, JSON, and XML
  • Experience with Relational Databases, preferably Oracle
  • Expert MS Office skills, including statistical functions in Excel and sophisticated PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience working with Agile teams (preferably Scrum)
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
