Lead Pediatric Dental Assistant

About the role

As a Lead Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children develop healthy dental habits and ensure they have a lifetime of beautiful smiles!

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during dental procedures
• Administer local anesthesia and monitor patient responses
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and process radiographs under supervision
• Provide pre- and post-procedural care to pediatric patients
• Document patient information accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Train and mentor new dental assistants

Requirements

• EFDA certification
• CPR certification
• X-ray certification
• Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) preferred
• Loves working with kids
• Flexible schedule
• Reliable and eager for growth

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent
• Radiography requirements according to state regulations

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Customer service oriented
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Excellent organizational skills
• PC skills with ability to learn new software programs
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office
• Experience with a fax machine, copy machine, and general office equipment
