Lead Patient Service Rep-Cardiology
About the role
The Lead Patient Service Rep-Cardiology-Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is responsible for overseeing and providing resources to clerical associates (PSRs and MAs) to ensure workflow and processes are implemented correctly. They monitor clerical performance, provide coaching and feedback, and collaborate with the office leadership team to manage office operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and provides resources to clerical associates (PSRs and MAs)
- Makes sure any changes in workflow or processes are implemented
- Makes sure the clerical staff follows office policies and procedures
- Prepares and participates in the hiring of front office staff
- Provides timely feedback to clerical staff and office manager
- Coaches and reeducates clerical staff as needed
- Escalates repeated issues to office manager for corrective action
- Ensures clerical staff completes annual competencies
- Delegates and ensures clerical staff completes tasks accurately and timely
- Collaborates with other Nemours departments
- Uses appropriate tools to provide feedback to clerical staff
- Coordinates and maintains clerical staff schedules
- Maintains a professional clerical environment
- Serves as the SuperUser and Preceptor for the clerical staff
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- 3 or more years of job-related experience required
- Cardiology and insurance experience is a plus
