About the role

First Baptist Church of Clinton is prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd our congregation and lead us into the next season of ministry. Mission: “Reaching and equipping the generations to become fully devoted followers of Christ.” We are a multi-generational church with a deep love for Christ, His Word, and one another. We are blessed with a talented, committed staff and vibrant ministries serving children, youth, college students, adults, and senior adults, including a growing recovery ministry.

Requirements

• Follow Christ — Lead from a Life of Faith: A genuine, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, reflecting biblical pastoral qualifications, faith, prayer, humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
• Shepherd People — Pastor with Heart and Purpose: A biblical shepherd who knows, loves, prays for, encourages, protects, and guides God’s people with humility, compassion, wisdom, and a servant’s heart.
• Preach the Word — Proclaim Truth Faithfully: A gifted, faithful biblical preacher committed to scripture who communicates God’s word clearly, points people to Christ, encourages spiritual maturity, and proclaims the gospel.
• Lead Well — Equip People and Empower Ministry: A collaborative leader who leads our talented staff with vision, encouragement, accountability, and trust while developing others’ gifts.
