About the role
Under direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II acts as a program expert as part of the Mobilehome and Special Occupancy Parks Programs and independently manages the Parks Permit To Operate (PTO) shared Outlook inbox. The incumbent exercises a high degree of initiative and independent judgment while performing a variety of complex analytical duties for the Program.
This position requires reporting to an HCD office a minimum of four days per week. In limited cases, at the Department’s discretion, an employee may be approved to work in a remote-centered capacity on a temporary basis until appropriate office space becomes available. Under California Government Code Section 14200, telework-eligible employees must reside in California. The designated headquarters location will be based on the employee’s primary residence and may be updated if HCD criteria are met.
Responsibilities
- Act as a program expert for the Mobilehome and Special Occupancy Parks Programs.
- Independently manage the Parks Permit To Operate (PTO) shared Outlook inbox.
- Perform a variety of complex analytical duties for the Program.
- Exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Qualifications
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility. SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply. Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position.
Pay
$6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Effective July 1, 2025, a 3% salary reduction is in place under the Personal Leave Program (PLP), with 5 hours of Personal Leave Credit earned monthly in exchange. This program is subject to change based on union agreements and state budget policy.
Schedule
Permanent, Full Time. Hybrid telework schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office.
