This role serves as a data strategy consultant and senior analytical partner for the Home Services online portfolio. The Lead Decision Analyst works cross-functionally with Product Managers, UX, Merchants, Marketing, and Data Engineering/Science teams to evaluate web content upgrades, design experimentation frameworks, maintain analytics pipelines, and deliver actionable insights that reduce customer friction and grow the online lead-generation funnel. This position also acts as a Product Manager for analytics—defining analytical solutions rather than just executing requests.

Responsibilities

  • Business Collaboration (20%) – Leverage business knowledge to shape analytical solutions. Build trust and collaboration with internal customers and cross-functional teams. Partner with other organizations to explore new tools and maintain technical agility for advanced analytics.
  • Project Management & Team Support (25%) – Lead and manage large, complex projects and teams. Prioritize work, ensure quality, and distribute workload/resources. Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in predictive and prescriptive analytics. Drive Agile project delivery to surface reliable, actionable enterprise-level insights. Mentor the team on processes and standards.
  • Solution Development (30%) – Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Develop solutions that transform data into actionable information. Clearly articulate the impact of recommendations to drive alignment and implementation.
  • Technical Exploration & Development (25%) – Guide project teams in requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications. Educate the analytics community on advanced techniques. Drive team maturity in predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related).
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in online/digital analytics or e-commerce.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL (BigQuery) for analysis, pipelining, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics (or similar clickstream platforms) for online behavioral analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation; ML modeling experience is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau for data visualization and executive dashboarding.
  • Strong understanding of A/B testing, causal inference, and hypothesis testing (z-test, t-test, chi-square, ANOVA, CausalImpact, difference-in-differences).
  • Understanding of Dataform and/or medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) patterns is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AI-based storytelling and automated insights (MCP servers, LLM-generated narratives, Vertex AI).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, GCS, Vertex AI, Dataform).
  • Working knowledge of GitHub for version control.
  • Experience with Jupyter Notebooks for exploratory analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, visualization, and translating insights into effective presentations.
  • Ability to manage requests and roadmaps for insights across merchandising, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Experience partnering with organizations to build KPI frameworks.
  • Track record of defining analytical solutions for ambiguous business problems (product thinking).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required). Master’s degree in a quantitative field (preferred).

Experience

Minimum 6 years of work experience (required). 7+ years of work experience (preferred).

Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
  • Mostly sedentary work with frequent movement; occasional need to move or lift light articles.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
