In-Store Lead Specialist

About the role

ARS-Rescue Rooter, part of American Residential Services, is hiring Retail Sales Associates to work inside major home improvement retail locations in Columbia, TN. The role focuses on customer engagement, lead generation, and appointment setting for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical home comfort solutions. Both part-time and full-time positions are available; employees must be able to attend a weekly team meeting at the Nashville branch.

Pay

Base pay ranges from $19 to $23 per hour, with uncapped commission added on top. Typical earnings, including incentives, fall between $20 and $30 per hour.

Schedule

Schedule is flexible with weekends required; typical shift hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees must also attend a weekly in‑office meeting at the Nashville branch.

Responsibilities

• Engage with homeowners while they shop and introduce them to ARS heating, cooling, and home comfort solutions.
• Start friendly, face‑to‑face conversations about home comfort, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador by educating customers on ARS heating and cooling services and home improvement solutions.
• Generate leads and schedule free in‑home consultations.
• Enter customer information and book appointments for ARS specialists.
• Represent ARS with a professional and positive in‑store presence.
• Support in‑store promotions alongside retail management and ARS team members.

Qualifications

• Outgoing personality and willingness to speak with shoppers.
• Retail, kiosk, door‑to‑door, or sales experience preferred (not required).
• Ability to stand and walk during shifts.
• Weekend and some holiday availability.
• Reliable transportation.
• Clean, professional appearance representing the ARS brand.
• Ability to attend weekly in‑office meetings.
• Employment contingent on a background check in accordance with applicable law.
