Key Responsibilities
- Lead residential and light commercial painting projects, ensuring high-quality results
- Direct and train painting crew on prep, application, and finishing techniques
- Perform surface prep using spackling, bondo, painters putty, and caulk
- Mask, tape, sand, and clean surfaces to prepare for painting
- Apply paint using various methods including brush, roller, airless and air-assisted sprayers
- Choose correct products, materials, and spray tips for each application
- Maintain and clean painting equipment, including sprayers, pumps, and nozzles
- Ensure jobsite cleanliness, safety, and proper protection of non-painted surfaces
- Communicate effectively with staff, subcontractors, and clients regarding job progress
- Maintain quality control and problem-solve issues on-site
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in residential painting
- Deep knowledge of paint products, prep materials, and spray equipment
- Able to lead and manage a painting crew effectively
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of cleanliness and finish quality
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Able to troubleshoot and maintain airless and air-assisted spray systems
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
