About the role
The Lead Optical Engineer will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of optical systems within our cutting-edge technology projects. This role requires a deep understanding of optical principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the design of optical systems for various projects
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate optical components into larger systems
- Conduct research and development on new optical technologies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Write technical reports and present findings at internal meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in optical engineering or a related field
- Experience with optical design software (e.g., Zemax, Code V)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Proven track record of successful project leadership
- Experience with advanced optical systems and testing equipment
- Knowledge of optical fabrication techniques and materials

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
