This role supports the commissioning and qualification of a formulation suite and ensures site operational readiness. It involves becoming a subject matter expert for the equipment process, training new hires, and leading daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Support commissioning/qualification activities during project phase
- Support site leadership in building a diverse and capable site organization
- Provide frontline leadership on manufacturing floor ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
- Be the primary point of contact for unexpected floor events
- Coordinate and deploy technical training for operators
- Assist supervisor in development and performance evaluations of shift operators
- Act as a key liaison between operation and support functions
- Operate equipment and lead shift operations to meet production demands
- Drive key departmental objectives including safety performance, deviation reduction, productivity improvement, and training compliance
- Line Leads are backup for the Supervisor
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to train and mentor peers
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills
- Basic digital literacy (desktop software)
- Able to lift 45 lbs
- Able to work 12-hour shifts with additional overtime as needed
- Knowledge of cGMPs
- Previous experience compounding/formulation in a Grade C environment
