Lead Operator - Formulation/Preparation (Night Shift)

This role supports the commissioning and qualification of a formulation suite and ensures site operational readiness. It involves becoming a subject matter expert for the equipment process, training new hires, and leading daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning/qualification activities during project phase
• Support site leadership in building a diverse and capable site organization
• Provide frontline leadership on manufacturing floor ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
• Be the primary point of contact for unexpected floor events
• Coordinate and deploy technical training for operators
• Assist supervisor in development and performance evaluations of shift operators
• Act as a key liaison between operation and support functions
• Operate equipment and lead shift operations to meet production demands
• Drive key departmental objectives including safety performance, deviation reduction, productivity improvement, and training compliance
• Line Leads are backup for the Supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to train and mentor peers
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills
• Basic digital literacy (desktop software)
• Able to lift 45 lbs
• Able to work 12-hour shifts with additional overtime as needed
• Knowledge of cGMPs
• Previous experience compounding/formulation in a Grade C environment
