Lead Operator

We are looking for a Lead Operator to join our Caldwell, ID plant. As a Lead Operator with Contech, you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with foreman to make certain everyone is aware of production schedules.
• Keep communication open with employees and managers.
• Train new employees on various jobs.
• Discuss daily production with Lead, Production Planner, or Plant Manager.
• Enforce safety and work rules.
• Ensure quality specifications are being met on ALL product produced.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean daily.
• Ensure Lean principles are being utilized; 5S, TPM, & Quick Changeover are used to eliminate downtime.
• Ensure corrective action takes place on all non-conformances in accordance with Pre/Post Shift Audits as well as Monthly Leadership Audits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• 1-2 years experience in a lead/supervisory role.
