Lead Operator

Responsibilities

• Work closely with foreman to make certain everyone is aware of production schedules.
• Keep communication open with employees and managers.
• Trains new employees on various jobs.
• Discuss daily production with Lead, Production Planner, or Plant Manager.
• Enforce safety and work rules.
• Ensure quality specifications are being met on ALL product produced.
• Avoid work areas becoming dirty daily.
• Utilize Lean principles such as 5S, TPM, and Quick Changeover to minimize downtime.
• Take corrective action on all non-conformances in accordance with Pre/Post Shift Audits and Monthly Leadership Audits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• 1-2 years experience in a lead/supervisory role.

Pay

$24-$30 an hour dependent upon experience
