About the role
The Lead of Recruitment (Volunteer) is a remote, unpaid volunteer role responsible for building, growing, and strengthening the Pre-Health Shadowing leadership team. This position involves reviewing leadership applications, assessing candidate suitability, and conducting interviews in coordination with department leads to select top talent. The Lead of Recruitment will maintain accurate records within recruitment tracking systems and support the smooth onboarding of new leadership team members.
Day-to-day tasks include developing and refining talent acquisition strategies, keeping hiring processes organized, and collaborating across time zones to ensure an inclusive, mission-aligned recruitment process.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to connect with prospective candidates, conduct structured interviews, and represent PHS professionally
- Strong recruitment, HR, or volunteer coordination skills to evaluate candidate profiles and optimize leadership recruitment strategies
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail to manage candidate pipelines and keep processes running smoothly
- Proficiency with digital collaboration platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, and Monday.com (or similar project management tools)
- Leadership ability, self-motivation, and the capacity to manage multiple candidate files independently in a global, remote environment
- Deep passion for building inclusive teams, supporting global education equity, and furthering the mission of Pre-Health Shadowing
