About the Role
The Lead Obstetrician/Gynecologist provides clinical leadership and oversight for women’s health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health. This role combines direct patient care with responsibilities in clinical operations, provider performance, and program development.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, postpartum, family planning, and gynecologic procedures.
- Lead clinical protocols, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives across all sites.
- Supervise and mentor OB/GYN providers and support staff, facilitating peer reviews and case conferences.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, participate in risk management, audits, and accreditation activities.
- Support program development by enhancing access, patient flow, and service delivery, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote integrated, whole-person care and community outreach efforts.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution, Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the relevant state, with active DEA registration.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical OB/GYN experience, including leadership or supervisory roles.
- Ability to obtain hospital admitting privileges.
Skills
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and quality improvement skills.
- Experience working with diverse, underserved populations is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
