Purpose & Scope

Serves as a resource for Medical Assistants. Provides general administrative and clinical support to physicians and other practitioners.

About the Role

Ensures the clinical environment is cleaned, stocked, and ready for patient care and that medical supplies are maintained at all times. Assists with intake and patient flow; takes vital signs, and performs office procedures per department protocol. Accurately documents clinical activities, per procedure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• College diploma or certificate is preferred.
• Two years of healthcare/medical - primary care/office experience is required.
• Certification/Licensure: Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Credential to be obtained in six months. BLS certification required.
