Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on system performance requirements.
- Develop test objectives, methodology, procedures, and data requirements.
- Identify instrumentation and test support equipment needs.
- Create and manage data collection and reduction processes.
- Cook up and coordinate with test support agencies and test ranges.
- Prepare and review test documentation (data plans, methods of test, flight cards, and analysis reports).
- Forecast test assets and range requirements, and serve as Point of Contact for test development.
- Work with program offices and contractors to define test requirements.
- Serve as Test Director or Test Conductor during missions.
- Brief and debrief aircrew on mission requirements.
- Manage logistics related to test equipment.
- Oversee junior team members and help resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 12 years of experience, or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering + 10 years of experience.
- At least 6 years of Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (Special Access Program eligible).
- Experience with aircraft and weapons integration in a classified environment.
- Familiarity with instrumentation, ranges, aircrew, data, and safety requirements in developmental flight tests.
- Experience with MRTFB testing at facilities such as Eglin AFB, Nellis AFB, Edwards AFB, China Lake NAS, Point Mugu NAS, or White Sands Missile Range.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physics from an ABET-accredited program.
- Experience working with government and prime contractors on aircraft and weapons testing.
- Knowledge of the 96 TW test process.
- Graduate of a Test Pilot School.
- Aircrew or operational testing experience.
