Lead Monitor Technician

About the role

As a Lead Telemetry Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality care by continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and alerting the care team when action is needed. Responsibilities

• Monitoring, interpreting, and documenting cardiac rhythms, and alerting nurses immediately to changes that may impact patient care
• Managing telemetry setup, lead placement, equipment upkeep, and inventory to ensure continuous, accurate monitoring
• Preparing and analyzing rhythm strips, updating logs, and maintaining patient monitoring records in line with hospital policies
• Guiding and mentoring telemetry staff by leading training, onboarding, and sharing updates on new tools or processes
• Enhancing patient safety by clearly communicating changes in rhythm, alarms, or signal issues

Requirements

• Completion of basic EKG/Arrhythmia course and successful completion of Monitor Tech examination
• Working knowledge of basic rhythms and arrhythmias
• 2 years previous experience as CMT/Cardiac Tech or Monitor Tech
