Lead Monitor Tech
Job Summary
As a Lead Telemetry Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality care by continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and alerting the care team when action is needed. You'll help train and guide others, building confidence, strengthening skills, and supporting a team committed to improving human life.
Responsibilities
- Maintain continuous, accurate monitoring of cardiac rhythms
- Alert nurses immediately to changes that may impact patient care
- Manage telemetry setup, lead placement, equipment upkeep, and inventory
- Prepare and analyze rhythm strips, update logs, and maintain patient monitoring records
- Guide and mentor telemetry staff by leading training, onboarding, and sharing updates on new tools or processes
- Enhance patient safety by clearly communicating changes in rhythm, alarms, or signal issues
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- High School Graduate / GED
- No Travel Required

Location
HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 380+ bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation.
