Lead Lab Tech

Position Summary

The Lead Lab Technologist assists in the oversight of the day-to-day operation of the Laboratory Section as well as performing as a Medical Technologist. The Lead Technologist will assist the Section Supervisor with reports, supplies, budgets, procedures, test development, training, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• PREFERRED: Certification: MT (ASCP), MT (AMT), MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT) or equivalent.
• MUST meet CLIA education requirements for general supervision for high complexity testing.
• Training and Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in clinical laboratory.
