Lead Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician

About the role

The Lead Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician role is responsible for problem resolution, staffing workflow, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities include implementing, maintaining, and assisting in developing procedures, testing platforms, and quality control programs, as well as serving as a technical resource for all internal and external customers.

• Assuming charge responsibility for the laboratory in the absence of a supervisor

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a similar field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Certifications: Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or as a Categorical Technologist (e.g., C, H, I, BB, M) required. Current certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT, HEW, ABHI) preferred.
• Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician required. Previous Lead experience preferred.
