Lead Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician

About the role

This is an Evening shift position. The Lead Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technician role is responsible for problem resolution, staffing workflow, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and assist in developing procedures, testing platforms, and quality control programs.
• Serve as a technical resource for all internal and external customers.
• Absorb charge responsibility for the laboratory in the absence of a supervisor and perform essential duties of an MT/MLT.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a similar field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Certifications: Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or as a Categorical Technologist (e.g., C, H, I, BB, M) required. Current certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP, AMT, HEW, ABHI) preferred.
• Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician required. Previous Lead experience preferred.
