Lead Medical Receptionist

Join our team as a Lead Medical Receptionist at Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic in Toppenish, WA! Be part of a healthcare organization that believes in making a difference beyond medical care. We are a leading community health center in the Pacific Northwest with 40+ clinics across Washington and Oregon, offering a wide range of services such as medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.
Responsibilities
- Handle phone calls, greet patients, manage logs, and provide translation services
- Collect patient data and maintain records
- Schedule appointments, verify insurance, assist with billing, and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain cash box and complete other assigned tasks
- Act as a liaison between line staff and the direct supervisor
- Manage breaks, lunches, sick calls, and overtime
- Provide insights to leadership regarding the skill level and performance of employees
- Train new employees and existing staff as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- One year's experience as a receptionist in a clinic is preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required at a level 9
- Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptions
- Ability to professionally interact with patients, providers, and staff
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare billing insurance is desired
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Pay
$17.57-$21.52/hour (DOE) with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates. Additional pay for bilingual skills, paid on hours worked.
