Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist - Full Time Evening

About the role

The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Lead CLS) performs a variety of technical, clerical, physical and quality assurance functions under the direction of a Supervisor. They work independently, oversee the division, support leadership, and accept responsibility for special projects/activities.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes professional knowledge, skills, and judgment to perform technical, clerical, physical, and quality assurance functions.
• Works independently, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the division.
• Serves as a liaison between the laboratory and other departments.
• Supports leadership of the division and accepts responsibility for special projects/activities as agreed upon with the supervisor and/or manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Science.
• Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license from California.
• One year of experience as a CLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Science.
• Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license from California upon hire.
• ASCP certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire.
